Tibetan Parliament expresses solidarity with latest Tibet self-immolator

Dharamshala — The Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile expressed solidarity with Wangchuk Tseten, another Tibetan man who set himself on fire in protest against the Chinese government on 15 April 2017 and "called on China to address the genuine grievances of the Tibetan people."

Ludhiana — The democratically elected Prime Minister, Sikyong Dr. Lobsang Sangay attended the First Special Conference of All India Tibetan Refugee Trader’s Association, held in Ludhiana, Punjab on April 11th, where he launched the 100 millioan loan plan for Tibetan sweater sellers.

TIbetan leader wraps up Arunachal visit, returns to Dharamshala

Dharamshala — His Holiness the Dalai Lama was greeted by thousands of devotees and supporters upon his return to Dharamshala this morning, April 12th. Tibetans, Indians and others from all over the world waited in the streets from Gagal airport in Kangra to the lanes of Tsuglakhang temple in Mcleod Ganj to celebrate the spiritual leader’s return from the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh and Assam.

Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh — "We are very fortunate that we Arunachal Pradesh hosted one Kalachakra way back in 1983, that was in Dirang. So after that it has been such a long time we could not host Kalachakra here in Arunachal Pradesh. So during this visit of His Holiness, I on behalf of the people of Arunachal Pradesh and the Mon people, I have requested His Holiness to initiate Kalachakra in the coming years... I am hopeful that the Kalachakra initiation will soon be conferred here," said Honorable Pema Khandu, Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh.

Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh — “Everything has gone well because of your faith and devotion—thank you. Be happy and take it easy. Of course, it’s in the nature of samara that things can go wrong, but when they do, look at them from a wider perspective and they won’t seem so bad. We’ll see each other again,” His Holiness the Dalai Lama told devotees in Tawang.
