Tibetan leader concludes teaching with Russian Buddhists in Delhi

New Delhi — His Holiness concluded his three-day teaching for Russian Buddhists in Delhi on December 27th, having reached 1300 people gathered from Kalmykia, Buryatia, Tuva, Russia, Mongolia, Tibet, Estonia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Kirgizia, Lithuania, Belarus and several other countries.

Kalachakra initiation will reach Tibetans inside Tibet- His Holiness

New Delhi — “Distance cannot dampen the sacred ties between a lama and a disciple. You can all pray from the far-flung areas in Tibet and I assure you that you will receive the Kalachakra empowerment,” said His Holiness, in an audience with Tibetan pilgrims in Delhi, assuring them he will be keeping the Tibetans inside Tibet within his deepest prayers.

Congressman Benjamin Gilman, a friend of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and a long-time supporter of Tibet and Tibetan people. Mr Gilman, 94, passed away in Wappingers Falls, N.Y, US, on December 17, 2016.

Mundgod — For the first time in the history of Tibetan Buddhism, twenty Tibetan nuns have been awarded the Geshema degree, the highest academic title in Tibetan Buddhism.
