Paris, France — The global press freedom is regressing with more and more countries putting journalists at risk and authoritarian regimes tightening their grip on the media, according to a report released by the Paris based international press freedom watchdog known as Reporters Without Borders (RSF).

Berlin, Germany — In a Joint Statement made public this week, the Human Rights Committee of the German parliament called on the “Chinese Government to immediately stop the repression of the Tibetan people and resume dialogue with the legitimate representatives of the Tibetan people. It says "Tibet is a totalitarian police state in which dissent is relentlessly persecuted and the population massively indoctrinated."

Dharamshala, India —The Government of Nepal has given assurance to the U.S. government that Nepal would continue to protect the human rights of the Tibetan refugees living in Nepal, says a senior official of the federal government of the United States of America while emphasising on a free and open Indo-Pacific region is very much in Nepal’s interest.

Paris, France — The totalitarian communist regime in China is actively attempting to influence the global media to deter criticism and spread propaganda, according to a new report released by the Paris based global media watchdog "Reporters Without Borders" (RSF) on Monday.

Dharamshala, India — The spiritual leader of Tibet, His Holiness the Dalai Lama has been awarded the "Pacem in Terris - Peace and freedom" prize. The recognition came from the Catholic Interracial Council of Davenport (Iowa, USA), in which 11 religious organizations collaborate.
