Tokyo, Japan — Speaking to a group of about 300 Tibetans and Bhutanese who had come to see him at his hotel Tuesday, His Holiness the Dalai Lama told them that he was on a short visit to Japan and encouraged them to keep their traditions with not only prayers and rituals but with study and analysis.

Tokyo, Japan — Reiterating his gratitude and appreciation to All Party Japanese Parliamentary Group for Tibet for their strong support to the Tibet cause, His Holiness the Dalai Lama Tuesday addressed Japanese Parliamentarians from all political spectrum of Japan at the Parliament building.

Halifax, Canada — President Dr Lobsang Sangay joined some 300 leaders from some 90 countries at an annual three-day international security forum held at Halifax in Nova Scotia, an Atlantic Ocean port in eastern Canada, on November 18, 2018.

Washington DC — Dr Lobsang Sangay, president of the Central Tibetan Administration (the Tibetan government-in-exile) spent the day rallying support for Tibet in both the House and Senate chambers. He met with Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen who has been one of the staunchest champions for human rights on the Hill.

Toronto, Canada — Picketing at the entrance of the Hart House, a group of Chinese students held a protest against a visit to the University of Toronto by Dr Lobsang Sangay, the President of the Central Tibetan Administration known as the Tibetan Government-in-Exile.

Washington DC — During his three-day visit to the capital city, President Dr. Lobsang Sangay met with many high-level United States’ administration officials. On the first day, he met with Samuel Brownback, Ambassador at Large for International Religious Freedom (IRF).

Yokohama, Japan – “Instead of independence we are seeking mutual benefit," His Holiness the Dalai Lama told Japan's NHK public television, adding: "The Chinese can help us with infrastructural development and we can help them with Buddhist psychology."
