Dharamsahala — Tibetan children living in the capital of China’s Sichuan province are being denied the right to an education in their own language, according to a prominent Tibetan educator living in Chengdu, the northeastern Tibetan Amdo region.

Dharamshala —  The Chinese Communist Party has announced the new appointment of Qi Zhala (Che Dhala) as the new as the new Chairman of Tibet Autonomous Region on Sunday, according to the state news agency Xinhua.

Dharamshala — Defying warnings by authorities, Tibetans living in northwest China’s Qinghai province are privately engaging in religious observances coinciding with the major Buddhist ceremony, Kalachakra, in India led by exiled spiritual leader His Holiness the Dalai Lama, sources in the region say.

Dharamshala — China has denied criticism that thousands of Tibetans were forcibly barred by Chinese government from taking part in the Kalachakra prayer event in Bodh Gaya of India, saying that the entire event is as 'a political tool' to propagate ideas of 'hating' China.

Dharamshala — In a provincial meeting of leaders in Qinghai province, a monk from Rebkong Rongpo monastery in the Northeast region of Tibet, spoke out to Chinese officials, calling for the condition-less return of His Holiness the Dalai Lama to Tibet and reportedly said that government training and distribution of religious materials was not suitable for local Tibetans.

London — Tighter security regulations are being implemented in Tibet's border region to combat what state-run media refers to as, "growing incidents of separatist and terrorist activities."

Bodh Gaya — With more than 100,000 devotees from around the world attending His Holiness the Dalai Lama's Kalachackra empowerment in Bodh Gaya, ceremony organizers are lamenting the absense of nearly 7,000 Tibetans from Tibet who were allegedly barred by Chinese authorities from taking part in the event.
