India has been home to these refugees for over five decades now and the settlements are considered long-term. There are an Estimated 1,50,000 Tibetan refugees living in India. But for refugees old and young, the apprehensions of when and whether their long journey will end, and of how long the settlements can survive and sustain, can’t be shaken off. Their hopes rest on the Tibetan Government in Exile and on the Tibetan Freedom Movement.
