Dharamshala — The Chief Representative Officer of the South Zone for the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) met with Honorable Chief Minister Shri D.K. Shivakumar on Sunday. The CM wrote, "I am deeply grateful for their kind words. Their messages reflect the enduring bond of friendship, mutual respect, and shared values that have long connected Karnataka and the Tibetan community. I look forward to advancing our shared commitment to peace, harmony and human dignity."
Jigmey Tsultrim, Chief Representative (CRO) of the Southern Zone of the Central Tibetan Administration, met with the Honorable Chief Minister Shri D.K. Shivakumar on June 14, 2026, at the latter’s residence in Bengaluru, Karnataka. They extended their best wishes to him and presented him with letters from His Holiness the Dalai Lama and Sikyong Penpa Tsering, in which they expressed their sincere congratulations and best wishes to Shri D.K. Shivakumar on the occasion of his assumption of office as Chief Minister of Karnataka.
The Honorable Chief Minister, Mr. D.K. Shivakumar, posted a message on his official and personal social media accounts, he wrote" Glad to receive Mr Jigmey Tsultrim, Chief Representative of the Central Tibetan Administration in Bengaluru, at my residence. He conveyed the warm greetings and good wishes of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and Sikyong Penpa Tsering, and presented their letters of congratulations on my assuming office as Chief Minister of Karnataka."
