An exclusive interview with Tenzin, the Head Chef of the Makye Ama Tibet Kitchen in Majnu-Ka-Tilla, Delhi, India. He spoke to TPI about his passion for cooking and introduced a variety of Tibetan food that is loved not only by Tibetans but also by people from all over the world.

New Delhi — “I met Tibetans who fought against the People's Liberation Army for the independence of Tibet, and had the opportunity to talk with them, their stories are very powerful. The Tibetan issue must be taken seriously - they have their own homeland. I really believe and hope that one day Tibetans can go to their own country and be free,” said Madhu Gurung, the author of “Tibet with My Eyes Closed” while interacting with TPI.

Dharamshala, India — At a time when the Tibetan cause is being neglected in the world, Kunsang Tenzing talks about the importance of storytelling and how he is working to preserve Tibetan memories and create a digital archive of Tibetan oral history. “I want to introduce the story of Tibet to the world in a different way,” he told TPI.
