Guwahati: – A five-day event titled "Festival of Tibetan Art and Culture" will be held in Guwahati , the largest city of Assam and northeastern India, from February 2-6, 2014. Organisers said the spiritual leader of Tibet and Nobel Peace Laureate His Holiness the Dalai Lama will be present on the occasion.

Gangtok: -An inaugural showing of the Tibetan film "Losar," meaning Tibetan New Year, took place on 22 November 2013 at the Community Hall of the Tibetan Self-Help Centre (TRSHC), in Darjeeling, West Bengal, marking the commencement of the film's shooting. Lodor Productions, a Gangtok-based Tibetan Film Production Company, is producing the film.

Dharamshala: - During the Tibetan New Year 2013, a Tibetan family at the foot of Himalayas, while happily having New Year's dinner, was surprised by a snow lion breaking into their home with mouth wide open. "All family members were startled and shouted," said Tashi.

Dharamshala: - Nearly one thousand people, including Tibetans and foreign tourists gathered at the Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts, in North Indian Himalayan town of McLeod Ganj where a musical concert to to create awareness about Tibet's issue in song and music.

Dharamshala: - The Tibet Society, in partnership with the Sussex Free Tibet Society is organising a four day festival celebrating the art and culture of Tibet and highlighting the present crises in the region through film and poetry in Brighton, England.
