New York, USA — At the first ever Tibetan Women's Empowerment Conference held in Queens, New York October 8th and 9th, Tenzin Palkyi delivered an important talk on Gender, Feminism and Women's Empowerment. The following has been taken directly:

Dharamshala — "Earning the Geshema degrees marks a turning point for the nuns," the Tibetan Nuns Project said adding that "this degree will make them eligible to assume various leadership roles in the monastic and lay communities."

Dharamshala — In an interview, one of the education officers of the Department of Education of the Central Tibetan Administration told TPI a bit of the Department's work and her views on the future of Tibet. She spoke on condition of anonymity, so we will be referring to her as Tenzom.
