Bodhgaya — His Holiness the Dalai Lama, left his residence at Gaden Phelgyeling Monastry and made his way towards the Mahabodhi Temple in Bihar, India on 17th December 2018. Making his way through the crowd, he offered his respects by lighting a lamp in front of the Buddha Statue inside the Mahabodhi Temple and prayed for world peace.
Mumbai, India — The spiritual leader of Tibet, His Holiness the Dalai Lama will be on a three-day visit to Mumbai city from December 12, 2018. On his visit, the Dalai Lama will address gatherings at the University of Mumbai, Guru Nanak College of Arts, Science and Commerce and the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay.
Simla, India — On the occasion of the mega ‘Thank you Himachal Pradesh’ event being held at the state capital, Shimla, His Holiness the Dalai Lama offered his greetings and gratitude to the State government and people. In the 7-minute video message, His Holiness expressed himself as a proud citizen of the Himachal Pradesh and student of the rich Indian tradition.
Rikon Swiss — His Holiness the Dalai Lama was interviewed by the Islamic scholar and journalist Amira Hafner-Al Jabaji for the Swiss television on September 22, when he said that “The world is passing through an emotional crisis, which only training the mind can solve. To complement the physical hygiene we observe to remain physically fit, we need emotional hygiene to strengthen the mind.”
Dharamshala, India — His Holiness the Dalai Lama participated in a symposium on ‘Happiness and Responsibility’ organised by the German Archaeological Institute (Deutsches Archäologisches Institut, DAI) on the celebratory occasion of International Science Festival in Heidelberg, Germany on 20 September.
