"The nomad woman was arrested by Chinese police and then forcibly taken to Ngaba (Ch: Aba County in Ngaba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province)," Ven Tsering said, speaking on condition of anonymity.

Ven Tsering said that "local Tibetans believe that her arrest was made on suspicion of some activities related to the 80th birthday celebration of His Holiness the Dalai Lama in Meuruma Township."
