Frankfurt: His Holiness the Dalai Lama has started his Buddhism teachings in Frankfurt on 30 July. He has been invited by Buddhist Organizations based in Germany. The exiled Tibetan spiritual leader gave a lecture on Tibetan Buddhism at a crowd of nearly 40,000 people in Frankfurt stadium. He will also participate in seminars on topics "One World, One Mind One Heart" such as peace, the environment, and the economy.

Paris: Reporters Without Borders has given the Chinese authorities a petition calling for the release of Tibetan documentary filmmaker Dhondup Wangchen, who has been held since 23 March 2008 and is seriously ill with hepatitis B, which is not being properly treated. According to recent reports, he is now in a prison in Xining, the capital of Qinghai (a province adjoining Tibet).

Dharamshala: In the morning of 28 July, Tibetan spiritual leader, His Holiness the Dalai Lama gave a public talk at the University of Warsaw on "Value of Education & Universal Responsibility" to hundred audiences of scholars, students and other invited guests of the University followed by a question and answer session. The religious and political leader of Tibet, is at the University of Warsaw, today, part of a three-day trip to Poland.

Warsaw: Presenting His Holiness the Dalai Lama with the honorary citizenship of the Polish capital Warsaw Thursday morning at an official function in the city’s famous Royal Castle, the Mayor of Warsaw Hanna Gronkiewicz-Waltz expressed to the gathering of government officials, members of parliament, heads of institutes, representatives of various non-governmental organisations, and guests, including the small Tibetan community, the Polish sense of pride in having the opportunity to honour the Tibetan Nobel Peace Laureate.

Dharamshala: Hundreds of international scholars, students, and other invited guests listened to His Holiness the Dalai Lama, the political and religious leader of Tibet, during his public address at the University of Warsaw in Poland yesterday. “This audience looks very nice," His Holiness began, laughing, "of course, everywhere, particularly in former communist countries, there is naturally a strong concern and sympathy for those people who are still experiencing the difficulties of communist totalitarian rule."

Dharamshala: Archbishop Desmond Tutu receives the Spiritual Leadership Award from Humanity's Team for his vision, understanding and building of bridges. On receiving the award, the Nobel Prize laureate also spoke about his friend, Tibetan spiritual leader His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
