Dharamshala — Tibetans living in Tibet and exile have expressed deep concern over the Chinese government's decision to remove the Tibetan language from the college entrance exams, forcing Tibetan children to learn mainly Chinese rather than Tibetan. One Tibetan woman said, "Tibetan is our root, it is the soul passed down by our ancestors for generations. Now they want to remove Tibetan from the college entrance exams? Isn't that cutting us off from our roots? Where is the equality in education?"

Dharamshala — Chinese authorities arrested a Tibetan monk from Tsang Monastery in Ba County, north-eastern Tibet, on July 2, 2025. At a time when the Chinese government was monitoring and imposing strict restrictions on Tibetans living in Chinese-occupied Tibet, as Tibetans and millions of followers of His Holiness the Dalai Lama around the world celebrating his 90th birthday.

Dharamshala — The Tibetan monk Shersang Gyatso, abbot of Tsang Monastery in Ba County, northeastern Tibet, committed suicide to protest the Chinese government's recent crackdown on his monastery, which included raiding the monks' rooms, disrupting their studies and religious practices, organising Chinese political indoctrination sessions, and expelled all monks under the age of 18 from the monastery.

Lhasa — Chinese government deployed large number of armed forces to Lhasa, closed the Potala Palace to pilgrims, closed roads and streets, and restricted the movement of Tibetans when Chinese President Xi Jinping visited Lhasa, Tibet. Tibetan activists from the Students for a Free Tibet staged a hunger strike to protest against Chinese President Xi's visit to Lhasa, Tibet, and his oppressive policies in Tibet, which are erasing Tibetan culture, religion, and identity and destroying the environment.

Lhasa — While Chinese President Xi visiting Tibet, Gonpo Kyi, the sister of Dorjee Tashi, a Tibetan businessman and political prisoner, attempted suicide after being repeatedly denied the right to visit her brother and being detained and tortured as if she were a prisoner by the Chinese authorities. She was in critical condition after jumping from the second floor of a hotel. Tibetans are suffering under Xi's cruel leadership, just like these two siblings and many other Tibetans.

Chengdu — The Chinese despised Tibetan Buddhism, claiming that “Buddhism was an evil religion” and hurting more than seven million Tibetans and other Buddhist believers. An educated young Tibetan said that the Chinese should respect the culture and religion of others. Another case involves Chinese landlords discriminating against Tibetans by refusing to rent rooms to them in the Chengdu city. A Tibetan asked why the Chinese were discriminating against Tibetans and what is wrong to be a Tibetan. These cases show that the Chinese discriminate against Tibetans on the basis of their religion and ethnicity.
