Dharamshala: Tenzin Norzom, a 23-year-old from Hunsur Tibetan settlement in South India, was crowned as the new Kingfisher Miss Tibet 2010 at the 9th Miss Tibet pageant which was held in Dharamsala last night.

Gulab Garh, Kishtwar, Jammu :Tibetan spiritual leader His Holiness the Dalai Lama attended the 15th founding anniversary of Himalayan Buddhist Cultural School in Gulab Garh, Kishtwar district in Jammu, this morning.

Dharamshala: Tibetan Government in-exile on Friday condemned the Chinese government's decision of death sentence to one Tibetan and long prison terms to five others, an official statement said. This follows a statement of the Tibetan Parliament in-exile, on Thursday said it "strongly condemns the inhumane approach towards people who dare to express themselves either individually as writers or together in a peaceful mass demonstration".

Dharamshala:Tibetan writer Tagyal Shokdung by Chinese Government. His book was reprinted by some young Tibetans and it was formally published by  Gyalnor Tsawang, Dharamshala: a member of Assembly of Tibetan People's Deputy (ATPD),the book titled "nam sa go chey" was launched at the Songsten Higher Secondary School in Kathmandu, in the presence of two other members of ATPD, Sponsors, RTYC, TWA and an audience of about a hundred people.

Daharamshala: The Mcleod Ganj bus stand formed the meeting point for hundreds of people taking part in a candle-light vigil on the 15th anniversary of the Panchen Lama's abduction by the People's Republic of China (PRC). Tibetan residents, monks and foreign tourists gathered at 6.30pm to start the procession which circled the centre of town before continuing to the Namgyal Monastery, then the main Tibetan temple of Dharamshala.
