Dharamshala — His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama's 89th birthday celebrates around the world today including USA, France, Australia, Taiwan and India. Central Tibetan Administration organised an event to celebrate His Holiness the Dalai Lama's 89th birthday, in Dharamshala on July 6, 2024. The chief guest, Sikkim Chief Minister Shri Prem Singh Tamang said," "His Holiness's teachings on compassionate motivation are the most idolatrous and revealing formulations of the current world order and its problems.”

Dharamshala — Tibetans and human rights activists on Wednesday commemorated the 37th anniversary of the United Nations Convention against Torture and called on the Chinese government to conduct a transparent investigation into the death of Trulku Tenzin Delek Rinpoche and prosecute Chinese officials responsible for his torture and death.

Dharamshala — A 64 year old Tibetan man concluded his bicycle rally in Dharamshala on Monday, to raise awareness about the critical situation in Tibet, where the Chinese government aims to eradicate the very identity of Tibetans from the root through indoctrination in colonial-style boarding schools.

Dharamshala — Former staff of the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA), Members of Mentseekhang and former staff of Bodyguards for His Holiness the Dalai Lama offered a long life prayer to His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama at the main Tibetan temple (Tsuglagkhang) in Dharamshala, HP, India on June 11, 2024. Thousands of Tibetans, Buddhist devotees and others joined in the long life prayer for His Holiness the Dalai Lama.

Dharamshala — <<My Life: Born in Free Tibet, Served in Exile>>, a book by former Tibetan Minister Tashi Wangdi launched in Dharamshala, recounts his happy childhood in independent Tibet, China's illegal occupation of Tibet and his escape into exile, as well as his 40 years of service in the six departments of the Central Tibetan Administration and visits to various countries with His Holiness the Dalai Lama.

Dharamshala — His Holiness the Dalai Lama begins his two-day teaching on the <<Key to the Middle Way>> for Tibetan students from Tibetan schools and Tibetan youth from universities. His Holiness said, ‘Tibetans are quite intelligent and have a natural sense of right and wrong, but you schoolchildren would do well to develop these four types of wisdom and the ability to think logically. So you must not just recite mantras, you must also learn to analyse things’.

Dharamshala — His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama conferred the Mahakala blessing at the request of Kalu Rinpoche to around 8500 people gathered in the Main Tibetan Temple on Saturday. His Holiness said, "I meditate on bodhichitta every day from the moment I wake up and I observe the Bodhisattva precepts. To achieve our own goals and the welfare of others, we need bodhichitta. To fulfil our short term and long term aims, we need bodhichitta. To accumulate merit and wisdom, we need bodhichitta."
