New York — The Tibetan, Mongolian and Himalayan communities of North America offered a long life prayer to His Holiness the Dalai Lama on Thursday, in New York and His Holiness addressed a strong crowd of 17,000, saying," Here we have Tibetans from all three regions of Tibet demonstrating how we are united. Tibetan culture can be of benefit to the whole of humanity. The Buddha, Shakyamuni, became enlightened and gave teachings that have been preserved in Tibet and the Himalayan region. These teachings are profound and deeply valuable."

New York — US Special Coordinator for Tibetan Issues Uzra Zeya, Special Assistant to the President and National Security Council Senior Director for Democracy and Human Rights Kelly Razzouk, travelled to New York to meet with His Holiness the Dalai Lama, the spiritual leader of Tibet and discussed China's human rights abuses in Tibet and reaffirmed the United States' commitment to promoting the human rights of Tibetans in Tibet.

New York — His Holiness the Dalai Lama will attend a long life prayer offered to him by the Tibetan, Mogoli and Himalayan communities in New York tomorrow, and then will travel to Zurich, Switzerland, where His Holiness will also attend a long life prayer offered to him by the Tibetan community there on August 25, and His Holiness the Dalai Lama is expected to return to Dharamsala, India, on August 28, 2024.

Dharamshala — Former Indian Ambassador Dilip Sinha, author of Imperial Games in Tibet: The Struggle for Statehood and Sovereignty, while talking about the reason for writing the book, said that he wanted to know why a historically peaceful border (Tibet) with India has now become a security threat to India and how Russia, Britain and China influenced or led to the occupation of Tibet in the 1950s.

New Delhi — Bharat-Tibet Sahayog Manch National Council held a momentous meeting in Sonipat, Haryana and they adopted five-point resolution, condemning China's actions aimed at eliminating Tibetan identity through a systematic campaign of Sinicisation, China's interference in the selection of the next Dalai Lama and China's expansionist policies.

New Delhi — A delegation from the Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile led by Speaker Khenpo Sonam Tenphel in New Delhi to raise Tibetan issues and urge Indian MPs to "recognise Tibet as an occupied nation, acknowledge Tibet's independent and sovereign past backed by historical evidence, and affirm the Tibetan people's right to self-determination under international law".
