Dharamshala — A Taiwanese artist presented His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama with a calligraphy scroll entitled “Tibetans are burning”, in tribute to the Tibetans who set themselves on fire. They sacrificed their lives for the freedom of Tibet and the return of His Holiness the Dalai Lama to Tibet. The artist wrote," Most of these people (self-immolators) never had the chance to see His Holiness in their lifetime, but thanks to this book, their names, their wishes, and their vows of self-immolation have arrived here (Dharamshala) in another form."

Dharamshala — The 14th edition of Dharamshala International Film Festival will take place from October 30 to November 2,2025, at the Upper Tibetan Children’s Village (TCV), Dharamshala with 85 International film including three Tibetan films:100 Sunset - Kunsang Kyirong (Canada), a poignant drama about two young Tibetan-Canadian women in Toronto navigating friendship and cultural expectations, Mola— A Tibetan Tale of Love and Loss by Yangzom Brauen and Martin Brauen, Far from Home by Kristi Tethong.

Dharamshala — Over 120 experts from around the world gathered in Dharamshala to participate in the 39th Mind and Life Dialogue. "This year's dialogue focused on ‘Mind, Artificial Intelligence, and Ethics,’ because how humans will coexist with AI will be a defining question of our time. We will need to draw on the deepest and most diverse resources of human knowledge to prevent the terms of the discussion and debate being taken over by loud voices. The future of humanity is at stake," said Thupten Jinpa, Chairman of the Mind & Life Board of Directors.

Stockholm — Experts from various countries held a discussion on the Himalayas, climate change, and its impact, particularly on the Tibetan plateau. They call on COP30 to include Tibet's climate in discussions on global climate governance and assert that "Recognising Tibet is not only about justice for a voiceless land; it is about protecting the global commons."

Stockholm, Sweden — More than International 25 experts published a new Stockholm paper entitled "Wither Tibet in the Climate Crisis Agenda? " and warned that the Tibetan Plateau is undergoing one of the most dramatic and least studied ecological transformations in the world today. Yet, despite its ecological importance, Tibet remains largely absent from global climate governance frameworks and mechanisms, therefore, Tibet must no longer remain the blind spot of global environmental governance.

Paris  — The United Nations Special Rapporteur on Cultural Rights has issued an official statement expressing deep concern over the removal of the word ‘Tibet’ from exhibitions organised by major French museums. She asserts that replacing the word ‘Tibet’ with “Xizang” or ‘Himalayan world’ undermines the rights of Tibetans to enjoy their cultural heritage and to self-determination.
