Dharamshala — His Holiness the Dalai Lama congratulates former U.S. President Donald Trump on his victory in the presidential election. His Holiness said, "In these times of great uncertainty and upheaval in several parts of the world, it is my hope that you will provide leadership in bringing about peace and stability", in the world.

New Delhi — The first Asian Buddhist Summit was held in New Delhi last two days and brought together over 160 Buddhist leaders, academics, experts and practitioners from more than 30 countries. They discussed on the various traditions, practices and beliefs of Asian Buddhist countries and how to address contemporary challenges facing the world, as well as the relevance of the Buddha Dharma in addressing today's global challenges.

Geneva – 15 countries expressed serious concern about human rights violations in Tibet, including 'the detention of Tibetans for peacefully expressing their political views, restrictions on travel, coercive labour arrangements, the separation of children from their families in boarding schools and the erosion of linguistic, cultural, educational and religious rights and freedoms in Tibet'.

New Delhi – In a recent speech delivered in New Delhi, Sikyong Penpa Tsering of the Central Tibetan Administration gave a brief overview of history of Tibet and he said, "No foreign country has ever directly ruled Tibet. Although there have been cases of outside influence, Tibet has never been under the direct control of a foreign country".

Dharamshala — His Holiness the Dalai Lama congratulates the Nihon Hidankyo, an organisation of Japanese Atomic Bomb Survivors, on winning the 2024 Nobel Peace Prize. The Nihon Hidankyo won the Nobel Peace Prize for its efforts to promote a world free of nuclear weapons and for demonstrating, through its testimonies, that nuclear weapons must never be used again.

New York – Tibetan activists from the Regional Tibetan Youth Congress of New York and New Jersey, began their ‘Bike Rally for Tibet’ in New York yesterday, to protest against the Chinese government for the ongoing cultural oppression in Tibet, the inhumane atrocities committed in Tibet. They call on China to end the cultural genocide in Tibet.
