Washington, D.C. — U.S. Congressman Michael McCaul (R-Texas), Chairman emeritus of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs and Representative Jim McGovern (D-Mass) introduced a bipartisan resolution designating July 6th, 2025, as "A Day of Compassion" in honor of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama's 90th birthday, which will celebrate on July 6, 2025.

Brussels — The European Union and the People's Republic of China recently held the 40th session of the EU-China Human Rights Dialogue in Brussels. The EU expressed its concern at the continuing deterioration of fundamental freedoms in Tibet and other regions. The EU also called on China not to interfere in the selection of the reincarnation of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama.

A lasting peace in the Korean peninsula is of vital importance to the entire world. Tokyo — 9th World Parliamentarians’ Convention on Tibet ends with three declarations in Tokyo. It states, "Recognise and reaffirm that Tibet was historically an independent nation, prior to the forceful invasion and occupation of Tibet by the People’s Republic of China (PRC) since 1950. it condemn the continued violation of human rights by the PRC in Tibet."

Tokyo — The 9th World Parliamentarians' Convention on Tibet (WPCT) commenced on Tuesday in Tokyo, Japan. “The PRC's occupation of Tibet is illegal, it was never legal, and Tibetans have every right to self-determination. Therefore, I call on legislators around the world to pass laws, to recognise Tibet as an occupied land and not as provinces of China,” said Nancy Pelosi, Speaker Emerita of the US House of Representatives.
