An exclusive conversation with TWA President on Tibetan Women in-Exile
Dharamshala, India — "The Tibetan Women's Association" is the largest women's organisations, based in Dharamshala, Northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh.
In an interview with Dolma Yangchen, President of the Tibetan Women's Association (TWA) in Dharamshala, India on March 29, 2019, reporters from the Tibet Post International Nikhil Kujur and Kalsang Choetso asked about TWA's contributions toward Tibetan community in-Exile and its potential role on Tibetan freedom cause as well as fight for Tibetan women's rights.
Today, the TWA has over 16,000 members and 57 branches worldwide including branches in: India, Nepal, Europe, Japan, Australia, Switzerland, the United States of America and Canada. TWA sees itself as the natural continuation of our many brave sisters who sacrificed their lives for the freedom and protection of Tibet.
