India based NGO "Tibet World" celebrates World Compassion in Action day

Dharamshala, India — Tibet World, an exile Tibetan NGO, celebrated His Holiness the Dalai Lama's 84th birthday, by inaugurating World Compassion in Action Day and also launched World Compassion in Action Organisation, in Dharamshala, India on July 6, 2019. Over 100 people from more than 20 countries attended the event.

The event hosted by director of the Tibet World, Yeshi Lhundup. The chief guest was Geshe Lhakdor, a former translator of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and is currently the director of the Tibetan Library of Works and Archives and the special guest was Alfred Smith, a former consultant to the South African government.

There were other guests from 22 countries including- Tibet, Australia, Bhutan, England, Belgium, Cambodia, Chile, Denmark, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Israel, Korea, Laos, Malaysia, Nepal, South Africa, Thailand, Taiwan, and the USA. An audience of over 100 joined with the special event to celebrate World Compassion in Action Day.
