Dharamshala – His Holiness the Dalai Lama gave a short teaching from the Jataka Tales followed by the Ceremony for Generating Bodhichitta in Dharamsala on Tuesday and he said,"What really transforms your mind is cultivating bodhichitta and the wisdom understanding emptiness. That’s why I meditate on them both as soon as I wake up every morning. This is the key to practice."

Bodhgaya — His Holiness the Dalai Lama offered a long life prayer by the Nyingma Tradition on Wednesday. His Holiness said, “I work to help people achieve peace of mind by cultivating love and compassion. That inner peace is the basis for peace in the world. I try to live a good life free from anger and hatred, and I pray that the world may become demilitarized. If that goal is fulfilled the purpose of my life will have been achieved."

Bodhgaya — His Holiness the Dalai Lama laid the foundation stone of the Dalai Lama Centre for Tibetan and Indian Ancient Wisdom in Bodhgaya on Tuesday and he said, “India is a land where, because of the fundamental and long-standing traditions of ‘karuna’ and ‘ahimsa’, many different spiritual traditions flourish. To ensure peace in the world we need to encourage the notion of non-violence or doing no harm— ‘ahimsa’. Tibetan refugees are fortunate to have been able to come to live in a land that explicitly upholds ‘ahimsa’.

Bodhgaya – His Holiness the Dalai Lama gave a three-day teaching to thousands of devotees in Bodhigaya and said, "The practice of bodhicitta is the essence of all the Buddha's teachings. The practice of bodhicitta leads to a healthy and happy mind and a long life. We must remember that the eight billion human beings living today wish to be happy and avoid suffering.”

Bodhgaya – A long life prayer offered to His Holiness the Dalai Lama by Buddhists and he said, “People in Tibet are facing difficulties, but it is the people of the Three Provinces—Amdo, Kham and U-tsang—, the Himalayan Regions, as well as Mongolia, Kalmykia, Buryatia and Tuva, who most fervently pray for me to live long. These heartfelt wishes will bear fruit. I am determined to live for a long time and in my dreams I have had indications that I will live to be more than 100.”

Brussels — Tibetan activists from the Regional Tibetan Youth Congress in Belgium organised a protest against China and its hard-line policy towards Tibetans. They called on China to stop the illegal collection of DNA from Tibetan and Uighur children. The activists said, "China stole my land, my voice, and my freedom."
