New Delhi – Executive members of the Central Tibetan Women's Association submitted letters to the embassies of countries in New Delhi on Chinese colonial boarding schools in Tibet and human rights violations of Tibetans in occupied Tibet. They also urged PM Narendra Modi and other leaders to raise these issues and Tibet at the next G20 meeting, to be held in the second week of September 2023, in New Delhi, India.

Leh, Ladakh – His Holiness the Dalai Lama was invited to Lamdon Model Senior Secondary School to launch the Golden Jubilee celebrations and the Great Summer Debate. His Holiness addressed the students and teachers: "I respect all the religions of the world, because they all commend the practice of love and compassion. There is no place for discrimination between people of one religion or another. We should all live together in harmony."

Leh, Ladakh, UT, India – His Holiness the Dalai Lama visited the statue of the Great Buddha in Stok, leh, Ladakh, on Moday and addressed a group of visitors. His Holiness said, "These days lots of people talk about world peace, but it will only be found if more of us have love and compassion in our hearts. World peace is rooted in peace of mind."

 Dharamshala – Tibetan organisations held an event to commemorate the 8th anniversary of the death of Tulku Tenzin Delek Rinpoche, a prominent Tibetan political prisoner, and to present the Tenzin Delek Rinpoche Medal of Courage to Dorjee Tashi, a well-known Tibetan businessman and Tibetan political prisoner, along with his sister Gonpo Kyi, in Dharamshala on July 12, 2023.

Leh, Ladakh – His Holiness the Dalai Lama, the spiritual leader of Tibet, arrived in Leh, Ladakh, on Tuesday, and tens of thousands of local residents, Ladakhis and Tibetans queued up to welcome His Holiness. After his arrival, he said he was happy to be here: "it seems I may eventually be able to visit Lhasa. However, even if I am able to go, I don’t plan to stay there. I would rather return to India and be able to visit Ladakh again".

Dharamshala, India ­– Thousands of people from Dharamshala and around the world joined the Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister and top officials of the Central Tibetan Administration to celebrate the 88th birthday of His Holiness the Dalai Lama at the main Tibetan monastery in Dharamshala, where Tibetans performed dances to mark the auspicious occasion and wish him a long life. His Holiness declared that he will live another 15 to 20 years and will continue to serve humanity with love and compassion.
