Dharamshala – Tibetans and Tibetan activists from four organisations in Dharamshala came together and expressed their solidarity with the ongoing critical situation in Dege County, Tibet, where Tibetan lay people and monks are facing forced displacement by the Chinese authorities, due to the construction of a mega-dam in their area. Even though they kneel and beg them to stop the order, the authorities increase the force and arrest the Tibetans.

Dharamshala – His Holiness the Dalai Lama extended his warmest wishes to Tibetans in Tibet and in exile, on the occasion of the traditional Tibetan New Year and said, "I would like to wish my fellow Tibetans, both inside Tibet and those in exile, a Happy New Year and Tashi Delek to all. Despite undergoing great difficulties in exile and living under a powerful Communist Chinese regime, the faith and aspiration of our people, the majority of whom are inside Tibet, have remained undiminished while I have been the leader."

Dharamshala – Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) celebrated the 75th Republic Day of India, on January 26, 2024 in Gangkyi, Dharamshala, HP, India. Tharlam Dolma, officiating Sikyong, congratulated India on the celebration of the 75th Republic Day and also expressed gratitude to the government and people of India for hosting Tibetans in India.

Geneva — Tibetans and Uyghurs highlighted the serious human rights violations committed by the Chinese government, during the UN member states reviewing China's 4th Universal Period Review in Geneva on Tuesday. Over 20 countries raised China's serious human rights violations in Tibet. They called on China to respect human rights of Tibetans and abolish the Chinese boarding schools in Tibet.

Dharamshala – His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama safely returned to his residence in Dharamshala on Monday, from Bodhgaya via New Delhi, after nearly two months of teachings to thousands of people in Sikkim, West Bengal and Bodhgaya in Bihar. Tibetans, devotees and well-wishers warmly welcomed His Holiness the Dalai Lama to Dharamshala.

Dharamshala — Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) organised a celebration to commemorate the 34th Anniversary of the conferment of the Nobel Peace Prize on His Holiness the Dalai Lama in Dharamshala and the Speaker of the Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile said, 'His Holiness has devoted himself entirely for the wellbeing of others and committed to helping and benefiting people across the world by promoting compassion, love, peace and non-violence. His marvellous efforts in these endeavours have earned him admiration from people all across the world, and it led to Him being honoured with the global renown of the Nobel Peace Prize in 1989.'

Dharamshala — Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) observed the Human Rights Day in Dharamshala and Sikyong of CTA said, "As part of its broader Sinicisation policy, the term Tibet is being replaced with “Xizang” in pinyin in the white paper. Moreover, the names of places between cities such as Lhasa to villages are being changed from Tibetan to Chinese. The sole objective of the PRC in replacing Tibet with the term “Xizang” is to wipe out Tibet from the world map and subsequently hope that Tibet will fade away from the memories of people in the world to assert its unfounded legitimacy."
