Tibetans protest against Xi's visit to USA and demand him to stop genocide in Tibet

Washington DC — A large protest organised by Regional Tibetan Youth Congress in Washtong DC on November 11, 2023, to protest against Chinese President Xi's visit in the free country, they shouted: stop the genocide in Tibet, Xi Jinping is not welcome in the United States, as long as China does not respect human rights.”  The Tibetan activists also called on US President Biden to speak up for Tibet, raise the Tibet issue with Xi Jinping.

Tibetan Youth Congress in New York and New Jersey organised a large demonstration in front of the White House, on November 11, 2023, to protest the Chinese President's visit to the United States for the APEC Summit 2023. The Tibetan activists also called on US President Biden to speak up for Tibet, raise the Tibet issue with Xi Jinping, and urge him to resume of Sino-Tibetan dialogue when they set to meet on November 16, 2023.

Organiser said at the demonstration: 'We are here to protest against Chinese President Xi Jinping's visit to the United States and to request President Biden to raise the Tibet issue with his counterpart Xi Jinping, as well as to show our solidarity with Tibetans inside Tibet, who are living in the open-air prison.'

The Tibetan activists shouted slogans such as," USA must stand for Tibet, President Biden, speak up for Tibet, Tibetan lives matter, free Tibet now, Independence for Tibet, Tibet belongs to Tibetans, no freedom in Tibet, no human rights in Tibet, China lies, Tibetans die, Xi Jinping is a killer, he is shameless, shame on Chinese government, Xi Jinping is not welcome in the United States, as long as China does not respect human rights."

On the same day, Tibetan activists also organised a rally from Lincoin Memorial Park to the White House to raise awareness of the human rights violations committed by the Chinese government and Xi Jinping by arresting, torturing, imprisoning and even killing Tibetans, who are simply expressing fundamental human rights such as freedom of expression and faith for their spiritual leader in exile, His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama.

Regional Tibetan Youth Congress Minnesota, San Francisco Regional Tibetan Youth Congress, Regional Capital Area Tibetan Youth Congress, Regional Tibetan Youth Congress, Portland, Regional Tibetan Youth Congress in New York and New Jersey sent a open letter to US President Joe Biden on November 8, 2023.

The letter stated, "We respectfully urge you to raise the following key points during your meeting with Xi Jinping: Stop Genocide in Tibet, Human Rights in Tibet, Religious Freedom, Environmental Conservation, Release all political prisoners, Return of His Holiness 14th Dalai Lama to Tibet without preconditions, Declare Tibet is free and independent nation, China must free all colonized states: Uyghur. Southern Mongolia. East Turkistan. Taiwan. Hong kong, Democracy in China."
