Dharamshala — His Holiness the Dalai Lama and Tibetan leaders expressed sincere condolences on the death of Senator Dianne Feinstein, a long-time supporter of Tibet. They expressed gratitude for her unwavering support for Tibet and said 'she will be remembered as one of the most dedicated and steadfast senators who stood up for the voiceless. Her support for Tibet and the Tibetan people will be valued and remembered with deep gratitude'.

New York — Tibetan activists from the Regional Tibetan Youth Congress (RYTC) in New York and New Jersey (USA) organised a protest against the Chinese Communist Party to denounce its oppressive policies towards Tibetans in Tibet. These policies led to massive protests in Tibet in 1987,and the acitivists shouting: "Never forget the Tibetan uprising in 1987".

New York — Tibetan and American activists protested against the visit of Chinese Vice-President Han Zheng to New York for attending the United Nations General Assembly. The activists declared Han Zheng: With Tibetan blood on your hands, you are not welcome here. They also called on China to shut down the colonial boarding school where more than a million Tibetan children are separated from their families.

Dharamshala — His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Spiritual Leader of Tibet, extended his best wishes to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the occasion of his 73rd birthday and thanked the Government and people of India for their hospitality to Tibetans. He wished the PM good health and success in fulfilling the hopes and aspirations of the people of this great country, and in contributing to the creation of a more compassionate and peaceful world.

Dharamshala — His Holiness the Dalai Lama, spiritual leader of Tibet, has expressed his solidarity with the victims of the floods in Libya and made a donation towards rescue and relief efforts in the areas affected by the floods. His Holiness wrote: "I pray for those brothers and sisters who have lost their lives and offer my heartfelt condolences to their families, as well as to others affected by this catastrophe."
