Dharamshala — A group of Members of the European Parliament from Austria and Germany visited the Central Tibetan Administration as part of an educational tour to learn more about the history of Tibet, the human rights situation in Tibet and the situation of the CTA and Tibetans in exile. They expressed their support for the Tibetan cause and pledged to raise the Tibet issue in their respective Parliaments.

Dharamsala — His Holiness the Dalai Lama, in a letter to Prem Singh Tamang, Chief Minister of Sikkim, has expressed his sadness at the loss of life and the damage to property in Sikkim as a result of the flash flood in the Teesta river valley on October 4, 2023 and His Holiness wrote,"As a mark of my solidarity with the people of Sikkim, I have asked the Dalai Lama Trust to make a donation towards relief and rescue efforts."

New Delhi — A group of leading international experts on China has drawn the attention of world community to stop Chinese President Xi Jinping from imposing a new law, which is aimed at eradicating all religious faiths like Buddhism, Christianity and Islam in China. Although the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) claims that this law, titled as ‘Order-19’, is aimed at “standardizing the management of places of religious activity” but in actual practice it is nothing short of what they termed as the ‘communistization’ of religion. Since this law is going to severely hurt the sentiments of millions of Chinese citizens as well as those belonging to occupied and colonized countries like Tibet, East Turkistan (Xinjiang) and Southern Mongolia the world institutions should act before it is too late.

Ottawa — The 4th Peace Rally Marathon for Tibet kicked off on October 2, 2023 in front of the Chinese Embassy in Ottawa, Canada. This is a week-long marathon during which activists will run 450 km to raise public awareness of China's human rights violations in Tibet and call on China to release the 11th Panchen Lama of Tibet and all political prisoners in Tibet.

Dharamshala — His Holiness the Dalai Lama and Tibetan leaders expressed sincere condolences on the death of Senator Dianne Feinstein, a long-time supporter of Tibet. They expressed gratitude for her unwavering support for Tibet and said 'she will be remembered as one of the most dedicated and steadfast senators who stood up for the voiceless. Her support for Tibet and the Tibetan people will be valued and remembered with deep gratitude'.
