Dehradun — A ceremony of prayer for long life and the celebration of the 80th birthday of Sakya Gongma Trichen Dorje Chang Rinpoche, the 41st holder of the throne of the Sakya school of Tibetan Buddhism, took place on October 3, 2024. Representatives of Central Tibetan Administrations and Tibetan communities joined in the celebration of his birthday.

Dehradun— Tibetan Youth Congress today began its "TYC Cycle Rally: Against Chinese Cultural Genocide in Tibet". The rally aims to denounce the atrocities committed by the Chinese Communist regime in Tibet and to oppose its illegitimate rule in Tibet, as well as to draw the urgent attention of the international community to the ongoing cultural genocide in Tibet, where China is imposing harsh policies aimed at systematically eliminating Tibetan culture and identity.

Dharamshala — The eighth session of the 17th Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile concluded yesterday with an official solidarity motion on the urgent situation in Tibet, and passed the bills on the appointment of the Chief Justice Commissioner and the two other Justice Commissioners to the Tibetan Supreme Justice Commission and the election of Commissioner to the Tibetan Election Commission.

Dharamshala — His Holiness the Dalai Lama attended a Long Life Prayer offered to him by the Tibetan Women's Association, Ex-Students of CST Dalhousie and Lhasa Districts on Wednesday and His Holiness said, "We, the people of the Three Provinces of Tibet, maintain these incredible traditions, the heritage we received from Nalanda. I would like to thank all of you for the various contributions you have made."

Dharamshala — The art exhibition "Dreaming Tibet" or "If I were in Tibet" by about 200 Tibetan students of classes 6 to 12 from five Tibetan schools inaugurates at the Kangra Art Museum, Dharamshala, on Friday. The aim of this exhibition is to raise awareness of Tibet among Indians and to create an opportunity for Tibetan children born in exile, under the title "If I were in Tibet", to express their feelings and thoughts through art form.

Dharamshala — The eighth session of the 17th Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile (TPiE), began on Wednesday in Dharamshala. The Speaker briefed the house on the agenda of the 8th session of the 17th TPiE and stressing that resolving the Sino-Tibetan conflict remains a primary responsibility, as emphasised in the Charter of Tibetans in Exile.
